CVCR Volunteer Projects
Since 1989, employees of member companies of the Corporate Volunteer Council of Racine (CVCR),
have participated in many joint, community service projects. While open to a wide range of activities,
most events are targeted toward bettering the lives of children and families in greater Racine.
Thousands of volunteer hours are spent each year carrying out these projects. Some of the projects are
listed below.
• Special Olympics volunteers helped implement several events, hugged, applauded, and
assisted with event activities.
• River Bend Harvest Festival assistance with parking, activities, food and clean-up.
• Food drive for Project Emergency food pantry.
• Wustum Museum Children’s Fine Arts Festival assistance with events, tickets, clean-up.
• Racine Area United Way "Day of Caring" volunteers worked on projects at local agencies.
• Racine County Historical Society’s Annual Antique Show.
• Make A Difference Day - CVCR companies participate in multiple projects on this day.
• National Volunteer Week events that recognize area volunteers for their efforts.
